Qualification & Eligibility

Many colleges, institutes and universities in India offer certificate and diploma courses in Visual Merchandising and for this minimum eligibility criteria is 10+2 pass in any stream. For attending the specialized workshops in most premium institutes like NIFT, candidates should be fashion technology or fashion design graduate. At graduation and post-graduation level fashion merchandising and designing and interior designing courses cover the core part of Visual Merchandising as an important subject in its curriculum.

Programme Duration

Visual Merchandising also plays an important role in present fashion industry. To achieve goal in the Visual Merchandising there are different courses i.e certificate, diploma, graduate and post-graduate diploma. For diploma or graduate courses the programme duration is generally 1 to 3 years and for post-graduate the programme duration is generally 2 years. Several certificate courses also offered by private institutes in this field and the programme duration varies from 6 months to 1 years depending upon the type of certificate course.
