The UK Border Agency had taken steps against approval of Indian student visas and temporarily suspended accepting submissions at New Delhi, Chandigarh and Jalandhar visa application centres, under Tier 4 of the points based system to counter the flow of fresh applications with effect from February 1, 2010. This is the measure taken by British Government to protect genuine applicants and righteous education providers from crooked personalities.

Even though they have stopped accepting visas temporarily from North India, British High Commissioner, Mr. Richard Stagg said that He is very much interested having the presence of Indian students in UK. Though, some evil inclined applicants are taking this opportunity by exploiting the vulnerabilities in our visa processing system. To counter these methods and to protect the real learning enthusiasts, we have taken this inevitable practice.

Further, applicants who had appointments for their Tier 4 visas from February 1, 2010, will be suspended until the next announcement by UK Border Agency. However, Visa application centres in west and south India will remain open for Tier 4 visa applications.

The Delhi Government has also given NOC on increasing the admission age of children in Nursery class from 3 to 4 year. The Chief Minister Sheela Dixit said that her government has no objection on this suggestion of Human Resource and Development Ministry. She said that- it is not good to put a lot of pressure on small kids and her government is very serious on the suggestion of increasing admission age for Nursery.

On the other hand, the president of Delhi Guardian Committee, Vijay gupta has also welcomed the suggestion of admission in the school at least in the age of 4 year. Guardian Committee had submitted a petition in 2007 regarding this. They put allegation that Delhi government was not serious on this issue.

Private school run different classes like UKG, KG, LKG, Nursery and Pre-Nursery and parents get admitted two years children too, in the school. The president of Delhi teacher guardian committee Dr. Mahendra Nagpal said by writing a letter to vice governor of Delhi that Delhi government has been totally failed to stop the self willing of private school on the matter of admission in Nursery. The school is asking for donation openly and parents are facing very trouble.

15 days has left to start first paper of student who is preparing Board Exam but anxiety regarding result and admission is teasing students since now. In this case, the expert has advised them that do not divert their attention about thinking Result, only focus on study. In this time, it is necessary to practice from the CBSE sample papers, it will help them to guess the question which has been asked in the exam. The marking scheme of question is also available in the sample paper, with the help of that student will know that how much wattage is given to which unit.

There is no lack of that student s who calls the CBSE helpline, who is asking question about grading. Students going to appear in 10th Board exam will not get marks, they will get grade this time. The counselor Gitanjali Kumar, who is giving the answer of question of students through helpline, says that students want to know that the question will be tough after implementing grading and on what basic they will get admission in 11th. Many Students have asked question on this matter also that if many children get same grade then how a selection will be for any stream. Kumar says that there is no connection of grading to the tough or easy paper.

A unit wise marking has been given in the available sample paper on CBSE website and the exam will be based on that. He says that many things have not cleared regarding grading system to student and this thing is being cleared through helpline. The Counselor Dr. Sangita Bhatia says that students must communicate to the teacher.

CBSE has fully changed the assessment process of students of class 9th and 10th and has implemented continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) scheme. But, many things have to be left told to teachers, students and parents. To implement CCE effectively, a focus group made by CBSE has completed the shooting of two films. Its editing is being done. A new examination pattern, Grading, CCE etc has been told in the film. This film will be uploaded on CBSE website after editing, as well as CD of the film will be sent to the school so that new pattern could be implementing effectively.

The Member of CBSE said that shooting has been done in Central School, Govt. School and Private School. A video has been created regarding how to teach, which type of activity should be in the classroom, in the new system. Amita M.Watall says that the thought of student and parents regarding CCE has also been recorded. The biggest advantage of this CD will be that all the confusion will be clear about new examination system. CBSE has implemented grading system in 9th and 10th form the current session. Full information has been given about grading. Children ask that how grading will be and what is its advantage? The answer of these questions will be in the film.

In the film it has been explored that how point grading system has been created in CCE on the basic of student performance and term and exam. Extra curriculum activities like sports, dance, scouting and guiding, yoga, and gardening has also been integrated. As per information a detail about summative assessment (SA) and formative assessment (FA) has also been covered. A term examination will be in SA. The question paper will be made in the school as per Board while in FA i.e. internal assessment, marks or grade will be given on the basis of class work, homework, oral question, quiz, project and assignment. These CD will be shown to the student as well as parents in the school. Last year CBSE had made a film about Board exam , a very positive result had come of that.

New Delhi: The admission process for graduation level courses in Delhi University may start this time before the declaration of the Result of C.B.S.E Class 12th . Usually the result of board is declared between 21st to 25th May and the admission process in DU starts from 1st of June. But this time the preparation of selling the admission form is going on before the Board result. Students can purchase the admission form in the month of May and the process of submitting the form will start just after coming the result in June. The date of selling and submitting the form was same till now, but this time the dates will be different. The selling of form will continue during the duration of submitting the form.

The University assumes that it will beneficial for the student and there will be not hue and cry for the Form. Dean student welfare Prof. S.K.Vij says that due to semester system the change in the admission process is must. The Admission committee is looking for all opportunities. DU starts its admission process keeping in mind the dates of C.B.S.E result. The Board is thinking hard to start selling of Form some days before the result or as the result comes. If semester system is implemented then the admission process must be completed till 31st July and for this it is essential that there should be a change in admission schedule. The form can be submitted till 15th June, but this year 10th June or any before date will be fixed. The cut of list will come early and the admission process will be completed soon. Till now, the admission was possible till August- September but after implementing semester system the admission process will be not so long because if the admission will continue till September then the student will get attendance problem. The classes will commence form 19th July in the semester scheme. The student’s schedule for open days will be also changed. It will be in May.

Medical Council of India (MCI) has announced to increase the seat capacity for PG Medical students by 2,000 from this year. This comes as good news for students who are willing to pursue a Post-Graduation course home country instead of going abroad. The admission will commence from the comming academic session of May 2010. All the additional seats will be distributed among the Medical colleges of the states of Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal. Including the Private Medical colleges those which will pass MCI inspection test.

Till date before expansion India has only 14,250 seats available for the various PG Medical streams. After sanctioning of the expansion from the Government, this capacity will increase up to 16,500. This seems to be a great relief for the medical students. The State Govt. of Maharashtra officially informed the MCI that in the next couple of years it will start PG courses in those Medical Colleges which started in 2001 at Kolhapur, Akola and Latur in 2002. Once, PG courses started in these colleges then India probably has the highest number of seats in Medical.
